HESCO Staff Injured By Armed Men

HYDERABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 25th july, 2016) : Four employees of Hyderabad Electric Supply Company including a Line Superintendent-I of HESCO Operation Sub-Division Tando Muhammad Khan received serious injuries when some armed men attack them at an agriculture farm at Bulerli Shah Karim Road. The HESCO spokesman informed Monday that HESCO team was dispatched to take action against illegal installation of nine electric poles at the said agriculture farm.
When the team reached for cutting off the electric connections and unearthing of the poles, a group of workers armed with hatchets, attacked the team members as a result of which four employees including LS-I received serious injuries and later rushed to hospital for first aid.
The SDO Operation Sub-Division Tando Muhammad Khan has registered the FIR against the attackers at Tando Muhammad Khan Police Station, the spokesman informed. Meanwhile, the HESCO spokesman informed that special teams have removed 800 power connections with removal of thousands of illegal connections while carrying out operation in Hyderabad, Hala, Tando Muhammad Khan, Tando Allah Yar, Badin, Mirpurkhas and other parts of the region.
The teams also removed six power transformers and recovered an amount of Rs. 1.265 millions from defaulters in respect of the outstanding dues, the spokesman informed.
