
ICT Police Solve Blind Murder Case, Two Accused Arrested In Bhara Kahu

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 28th Jul, 2025) Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police have successfully solved a blind murder case involving the recovery of an unidentified body from the forest area of Dhok Jelani, Bhara Kahu, arresting two suspects following an intensive investigation.
A police spokesperson told APP on Monday that a team from Bhara Kahu Police Station, in collaboration with the Homicide Investigation Unit, apprehended two suspects identified as Naveed Akhtar, son of Adalat Khan, resident of Abbottabad, and Mujahid Iqbal, son of Allah Bachaya, resident of Muzaffargarh. The case was registered under FIR No. 410/25 under Sections 302, 201, and 34 of the Pakistan Penal Code.
He said that on May 29, 2025, police had recovered a body from the forest area near Dhok Jelani. The body was bound at the legs and had a cloth wrapped around the neck, initially making identification difficult. Using scientific and technical methods, police confirmed the deceased as Subhan, son of Ali Farman, a resident of Abbottabad.
He said further investigation revealed that the two accused, who were close acquaintances of the victim, lured him to Sangjani under the pretense of offering work. They later took him to the forested area of Dhok Jelani, where they murdered him and fled, leaving the body behind.
He said that following the orders of DIG Muhammad Jawad Tariq, the police team expanded the investigation using modern forensic and intelligence tools. The suspects were eventually located and taken into custody. More disclosures are expected as the investigation progresses.
DIG Tariq emphasized that the suspects would be challaned in court based on strong evidence to ensure exemplary punishment. He reiterated Islamabad Police’s commitment to ensuring justice and maintaining law and order in the capital.
Citizens have appreciated the swift and professional response by the police and demanded strict punishment for the culprits to prevent such crimes in the future.
