Karachi Theater Festival Concluds With Big Success

KARACHI, 23 Nov (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 23rd Nov, 2016 ) : Renowned play-writer and director Anwer Maqsood has lauded the efforts of Muhammad Ahmed Shah of Arts Council of Pakistan for holding Karachi Theater Festival with great success.

He expressed these views as a Chief Guest at the concluding day of the festival held here at Arts Council premises. The theater held from Nov 3-22. Anwer Maqsood also congradulated and lauded all the directors, writers and the artists on the successful holding of the Theatre Festival spread over twenty days.

He termed holding of the Karachi Theatre Festival as as positive step towards promoting Theatre Culture. Various plays from prominent writers and directors were staged at the gala that included Zia Mohyuddin, Akbar islam, Uzma Saleem, Sheema Kirmani, Sunil Shankar, Intizar Hussain, Kamal Ahmed Rizvi, Sarmad Sehbai, Neil Simon, Ismat Chugtai, Kamal Aftab and others.

The Karachi Theatre Festival aimed at to promote Peace, Tolerance and a sense of participation in society.
