LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 18th Jul, 2025) The Price Control department is completely mobilized in view of the fluctuations in the prices of chicken.

According to official sources here, Punjab Commodities Management Director General Imran Qureshi met the representatives of Poultry Association and discussed the overall situation of poultry market and pricing mechanisms.

Representatives of Poultry Association and Commodities Management agreed to prepare joint recommendations for policy making to determine prices of chicken.

Punjab Commodities Management Director General Imran Qureshi said that crackdown would be launched to stable prices of chicken and against selling of chicken at high rates.

He further said, "Cases will be registered against those who will enhance chicken meat price their own."

The DG said that artificial shortage or increase in prices would not be tolerated.

Commodities Additional Secretary Khalid Bashir and others were also present.
