ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 18th Jul, 2025) Federal Minister for Law and Justice, Senator Azam Nazeer Tarar, met with Member National Assembly Sardar Ramesh Singh Arora on Friday to discuss the promotion and protection of minority rights in Pakistan.

The meeting, held under the auspices of the Ministry of Human Rights, highlighted the government’s commitment to safeguarding constitutional protections for minority communities.

During the meeting, both leaders stressed the importance of collective efforts to ensure the inclusion, legal support, and socio-economic development of minorities across the country.

“Joint efforts are essential for the comprehensive development of minorities,” said Sardar Ramesh Singh Arora, calling for integrated policies to empower marginalized groups.

Senator Azam Nazeer Tarar reaffirmed the government’s stance, stating, “Minorities are equal citizens of Pakistan, and their welfare is a key government priority.”

Fareed Ahmed Tarar, Additional Secretary at the Ministry of Human Rights, was also present and briefed both leaders on ongoing human rights initiatives and challenges. He highlighted the Ministry’s work in advancing minority rights through policy reforms and advocacy.

The meeting concluded with a mutual agreement to strengthen legal assistance mechanisms, enhance minority representation, and ensure the effective implementation of relevant policies to uphold fundamental rights.
