NAB Lahore holds open court to address public grievances

LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 28th Aug, 2026) The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Lahore on Friday held its monthly Open Court to hear public grievances and complaints, particularly those of affectees of fraudulent housing schemes and financial frauds.

The Open Court was held on the directions of NAB Lahore Director General (DG) Mirza Faran Baig, where around 350 members of the public and affectees appeared and presented their complaints directly before NAB officials.

According to a press release, a majority of the complaints were submitted by affectees of fraudulent housing schemes and other financial frauds. A large number of complaints pertained to Bismillah Garden, Al-Noor Orchard, Al-Jalil Garden, SA Garden, Omega Residencia, Mid City, Dream Housing, Eden Housing, Elite Town, Pak-Arab Housing Scheme, New Lahore City and Zaitoon Group.

On the directions of the DG, all senior directors of NAB Lahore's investigation wings participated in the Open Court and listened to the grievances and concerns of the affectees.

The concerned officers were directed to examine the complaints strictly on merit and take effective action in accordance with the law for their timely redressal.

The bureau, in line with the vision of Chairman NAB and its zero-tolerance policy against corruption and public fraud, reaffirmed its resolve to take strict action in accordance with the law against elements involved in corrupt practices and defrauding the public.
