
Police Recover Minor Girl Detained For Picking Oranges

MUZAFFARGARH, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 14th Jul, 2025) In a shocking incident, a five-year-old girl was unlawfully detained and tied up by a landlord for allegedly picking oranges from his orchard.
The police concerned rescued the minor girl and also arrested the accused.
According to the police spokesperson, the operation was carried out under the special directives of District Police Officer (DPO) Muzaffargarh, Dr. Rizwan Ahmed Khan, in response to an emergency call through police helpline 15.
The accused, Nazar Hussain, allegedly tied up the five year old girl, Nazia Bibi, on the accusation of picking oranges from his garden.
Responding to the emergency call, SHO Irfan Faiz reached the spot, safely recovered the child and arrested the accused.
Station House Officer (SHO) Irfan Faiz stated that police will not tolerate any form of injustice or cruelty towards the public. He said that providing justice and protecting the rights of every citizen, especially the vulnerable, remains the top priority of police.
He said that a case has been registered against the accused and further investigations were underway.
