
Qalam Karwan Hosts Online Session Under "Bedari Fikr-e-Iqbal" Series

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 24th Jul, 2025) Qalam Karwan, a literary organization, hosted a virtual session under the banner of Bedari Fikr-e-Iqbal" series.
The literary gathering brought together participants from across Pakistan and overseas to reflect on Allama Iqbal’s philosophy and its connection with the timeless message of Karbala.
The session was presided over by Allama Muhammad Kashif Noor Al-Azhari from Al-Azhar University, Egypt.
Distinguished author, researcher, poet, and linguist Naheed Afshan from Rawalpindi delivered the keynote address on “Hadith-e-Ishq Do Bab Ast — Karbala o Damascus (First Part).”
In her adress, Afshan highlighted the unwavering faith and resilience of Imam Hussain (AS) and his family during the tragedy of Karbala.
She explained that the event was a decisive battle between truth and falsehood under the banner of rightful leadership.
“Yazid’s rule represented tyranny and falsehood, whereas Imam Hussain (AS) stood as the torchbearer of truth and the true heir to the teachings of the Prophets,” she remarked.
The speaker recited several verses of Allama Iqbal’s poetry, emphasizing that Iqbal had profoundly captured the true spirit and purpose of Karbala.
She added that through his ultimate sacrifice, Imam Hussain (AS) was granted eternal life, becoming a symbol of resistance and truth for all times to come.
The session concluded with a presidential address, marking the end of an insightful evening dedicated to the revival of Iqbal’s thought and the enduring message of Karbala.
