Repeated Plea On Jail Meeting With PTI Founder Dismissed

RAWALPINDI, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 6th May, 2026) A local court has dismissed another application seeking permission related to a meeting with jailed PTI Founder at Adyala Jail, observing that the matter had already been adjudicated twice and the petitioner failed to pursue the appropriate legal forum.
According to the written order, the court noted that a similar application moved on December 16, 2025 by the same counsel, Faisal Malik, had been dismissed through a detailed judgment. The order further stated that the earlier decision had not been challenged before the relevant higher forum, namely the Islamabad High Court.
The court observed that despite this, another application on the identical issue was filed on March 24, 2026, which too was dismissed with the same observation that jurisdiction over matters relating to meetings with the accused in Adyala Jail lies with the Islamabad High Court.
It was highlighted in the order that instead of approaching the appropriate forum, the petitioner once again filed an identical application before the same court, leading to unnecessary repetition of proceedings.
“In view of dismissal of previous two applications on the same subject matter, the right course of action for the petitioner was to approach the Honourable Islamabad High Court,” the order read, adding that failure to do so resulted in wastage of precious judicial time.
The court also imposed an exemplary cost of Rs. 10,000.0 on the petitioner.
