Rescue-1122 Instructions For Public In Monsoon

SARGODHA, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Jul, 2025) District Emergency Officer Mazhar Shah of Rescue 1122 Sargodha Wednesday issued comprehensive safety measures to protect citizens' lives and property during the monsoon season.

According to a spokesperson, the DEO instructed people to avoid touching electrical wires and poles in wet conditions, stay away from broken or exposed wires, and keep animals at a safe distance, avoid taking shelter under trees during thunderstorms due to the risk of lightning strikes.

He also instructed the people to avoid wading or driving through flowing or stagnant water, keep children away from bathing in rainwater to prevent accidents, drive slowly and use low gear during rain, keep headlights and fog lights on, and avoid sudden braking or speeding.

Mazhar Shah appealed to citizens to stay cautious when approaching rivers, streams, or nullahs due to fast-flowing water and potential flooding, avoid sitting or standing near weak or old roofs and walls and take shelter away from trees, poles, or billboards during strong winds. He stressed that while Rescue 1122 teams are fully prepared to handle emergencies, citizen awareness and cooperation are crucial in creating a safe society. "Citizens are urged to call Rescue 1122 immediately in case of any emergency," he added.
