Faisalabad: (UrduPoint / UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Jul, 2025) A blind woman’s life was saved in Faisalabad due to the timely and compassionate action of the Virtual Women Police Station.

According to a Safe City spokesperson, the woman, distressed by domestic issues, called the emergency helpline 15 and expressed her desire to commit suicide. However, due to mental stress, she was unable to provide her name or address.

Understanding the sensitivity of the situation, the Virtual Women Police Station responded with great skill, patience, and empathy. Through conversation, the officers managed to dissuade her from taking her own life.

The Safe City officer carefully obtained the necessary information and immediately dispatched the relevant police team to the location.

The police acted swiftly, located the woman, provided her with on-site assistance, and safely transferred her to a shelter (Dar-ul-Aman), where her protection and rehabilitation are now being ensured.

The Safe City spokesperson stated that Pakistan’s first Virtual Women Police Station has so far provided timely assistance in over 500,000 cases. Citizens especially women are encouraged to call 15 and press 2 in case of any trouble or danger to get immediate and safe help.
