The meeting of the Standing Committee on Parliamentary Affairs which was held under the Chairmanship of MNA Rana Iradat Sharif Khan was briefed by the Chairman Employees Old Age Benefit Institution (EOBI) that EOBI, maintains an efficient grievance redressal mechanism through the Pakistan Citizen Portal.
From July 2024 to June 2025, the Employees’ Old-Age Benefits Institution (EOBI) demonstrated strong performance in grievance handling through the Pakistan Citizen Portal. During this period, a total of 511 complaints were received across various offices, all of which were successfully resolved, leaving no pending cases.
The Committee was further apprised that during the period from July 1, 2024 to June 30, 2025, the Employees’ Old-Age Benefits Institution (EOBI) efficiently managed pension claim cases across its three regional divisions. The EOBI received 37,012 pension claims and settled 36,612 cases, achieving an impressive claim settlement rate of approximately 99%, which reflects the institution’s strong commitment to timely service delivery and operational efficiency.
The representative from the Accountant General Pakistan Revenues (AGPR) highlighted the Anticipatory Pension Programme, as a landmark initiative aimed at enhancing efficiency and improving the quality of customer service for pensioners.
The Chairman reaffirmed the government’s and the Standing Committee’s commitment, in line with the priorities of the Prime Minister’s Public Affairs and Grievances Wing, to ensure the facilitation of pensioners through a smooth and efficient system.
He appreciated the ongoing efforts of the Employees’ Old-Age Benefits Institution (EOBI) in delivering quality services to pensioners and recommended that the Institution further enhance and refine its operational processes to make the system more seamless and error-free for the beneficiaries.
The meeting was attended by MNAs, Raja Qamar-ul-Islam, Ch. Mahmood Bashir Virk, Gulnaz Shahzadi, Naveed Aamir, Dr. Nikhat Shakeel Khan, Hameed Hussain, Naeema Kishwer Khan, Secretary Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs and other senior officers of the, EOBI and AGPR also attended the meeting.
