Teams Constituted To Monitor Flood Situation

DG KHAN, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 28th july, 2016) : District Coordination Officer Nadeemur Rehman constituted teams to monitor riverine areas and water level at selected sites along the river Indus. He also established a fund worth Rs 2 billion for saving crops and population from impacts of flash flood.
Talking to MPA Mahmood Qadir Leghari here on Thursday, the DCO said the Punjab government had approved Rs 300 million for repairing of canals flowing in the constituency of MPA Leghari. He said land acquisition for construction of the road between Multan to DG Khan had been made.
He said the provincial government was paying special attention to the development of district besides arrangements to avoid flood in the district.
