The Sargodha police on Tuesday apprehended two individuals, a man and a woman, for allegedly extorting money from beneficiaries of the Benazir Income Support Program (BISP)
Sargodha, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 29th Jul, 2025) The Sargodha police on Tuesday apprehended two individuals, a man and a woman, for allegedly extorting money from beneficiaries of the Benazir Income Support Program (BISP).
According to the official spokesperson here, the arrests were made under the supervision of Assistant Commissioner Bhera Ushna Tahir.
The suspects were caught red-handed and taken into custody.
The SHO Bhera recovered the cash and other evidence from the accused and registered a case against the suspects.
Deputy Commissioner Captain (R) Muhammad Wasim emphasized that a zero-tolerance policy will be adopted against those who exploit BISP beneficiaries. "The accused will face strict punishment according to the law", DC added.
