ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Oct, 2025) The Asia Pacific Goalball Championship 2025, a vibrant and exhilarating competition, has commenced with a
bang.
The opening matches saw thrilling victories for Iran, Thailand, China, and the Chinese women's team.
According to details, in the men's category, Iran edged past Saudi Arabia 6-4, while Thailand dominated Iraq 14-4.
China secured a convincing win over Pakistan, triumphing 17-7. The Chinese women's team also started strong, defeating Pakistan 13-3.
The championship, organized by the Pakistan Blind sports Federation, features 17 teams from 11 countries, including Kazakhstan, Iran, Japan, Thailand, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Australia, Iraq, and Uzbekistan. China, the defending champion, has begun its campaign on a winning note.
