Hong Kong stocks retreat in early trade

HONG KONG,(UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News -25th Augst,2016) - Hong Kong stocks fell in the first few minutes of trade Thursday following losses in New York and Europe as falling oil prices dragged further on energy firms. The Hang Seng Index shed 0.

18 percent, or 41.72 points, to 22,779.06. And the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index dropped 0.40 percent, or 12.44 points, to 3,073.44, while the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, lost 0.53 percent, or 10.75 points, to 2,019.53.
