Sartaj Aziz to address Manama Dialogue in Bahrain: Javed Malik

BAHRAIN, Dec 9 (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 09th Dec, 2016 ) : Advisor to Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs, Sartaj Aziz would highlight Pakistan's perspective on the prevailing regional situation at the Manama Dialogue in Bahrain on Sunday (Dec 11).

Pakistan's Ambassador to Bahrain Javed Malik in statement issued here on Friday said the special dialogue is organised by the International Institute of Strategic Studies (IISS), a prestigious British institute, that brings together ministers and senior government officials from more than 20 countries.

The countries include the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, China, UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, Spain, Singapore, Afghanistan, India in addition to international organisations and global media.

Speaking about the importance of the Manama Dialogue, Ambassador Javed Malik stated that The Crown Prince of Bahrain, His Royal Highness Prince Salman Bin Hamad Al Khalifa will formally welcome the ministers at an inaugural dinner which would be followed by two days of important session in which global leaders would discuss important regional issues facing the region.

Advisor to Prime Minister Sartaj Aziz will be a keynote speaker on December 11 and address the international delegates at the dialogue about the prevailing regional situation and Pakistan's perspective.

British Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson, French Minister of Defence Jean-Yves Le Drian, and the US Secretary of Defence Dr Ashton Carter will also address the dialogue Ambassador Javed Malik said on sidelines of the Manama Dialogue important bilateral meetings for the Advisor Foreign Affairs, Sartaj Aziz are also being organised with Foreign Minister of Bahrain, H.E Shaikh Khalid Bin Ahmad Al Khalifa, and ministers of other countries.

A special meeting will also be held with the Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Abdul Latif Rashid Al Zayani to expand the ties between Pakistan and Gulf region.
