SCCI President Discusses Leather Industry Training Initiatives

SIALKOT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 15th May, 2026) President of the Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI), Syed Ahtesham Mazhar, attended an online meeting with representatives of the Pakistan Institute of Fashion and Design to discuss initiatives aimed at strengthening the leather industry through specialized education and training.

During the meeting, participants exchanged views on the introduction of new courses related to the leather sector, focusing on enhancing technical skills, innovation, and workforce development in line with the evolving needs of the industry.

The discussion highlighted the importance of industry-academia collaboration in preparing skilled professionals capable of supporting the growth, competitiveness, and modernization of Pakistan’s leather sector. Syed Ahtesham Mazhar emphasized the need for practical and market-oriented training programs to meet emerging industry demands and create better opportunities for the younger workforce.
