
AJK PM Agrees To Demand For Upgradation Of Teachers’ Pay Scale

MIRPUR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 13th Jul, 2025) Azad Jammu Kashmir Prime Minister Chaudhry Anwar ul Haq Sunday agreed in principle to the demand for an upgrade of the teachers’ pay scale and expressed his firm commitment to resolving the matter at the earliest, it was officially said.
He was talking to an AJK government representative delegation of teachers from Azad Kashmir, which called on the prime minister at Jammu Kashmir House in the Federal metropolis on Sunday, an AJK government handout said.
The Prime Minister expressed his firm commitment to resolve the matter at the earliest.
AJK Housing Minister Chaudhry Yasir Sultan was also present on the occasion.
During the meeting, the long-standing demand for teachers’ upgradation of pay scale was discussed in detail.
The house decided that a 4-member representative delegation of teachers will meet the relevant authorities at the Civil Secretariat on Tuesday, July 15, 2025, to review all aspects of the issue and find a solution to the problem.
The visiting delegation appreciated the positive step by the Prime Minister and expressed hope that the government will continue to take practical steps for the improvement of the education sector.
