All Set To Launch Series Of Mass Public Welfare Projects In Mirpur: AJK Minister

MIRPUR (AJK) , (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point news - 22nd Jul, 2025) Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Minister for Mangla Dam Affairs and Mangla Dam Housing Authority Chaudhry Qasim Majeed has said that mass public welfare development projects were being launched in remote areas of this lake district including Islamgarh, Chakswari, Dadial and Siakh towns, besides New City Mirpur, for the settlement of shelter less Mangla Dam affected people under an integrated plan.

The gigantic phased program involves all residential and other basic facilities and benefits for the Mangla Dam raising project affected people in these towns, sources said.

"Quality and timely completion of development projects shall have to be ensured in letter and spirit", the minister instructed the heads of the concerned functionaries attending the meeting.

Commissioner Mirpur Division/Director General MDHA Chaudhry Mukhtar Hussain earlier briefed the Minister of the salient features of the development projects to be executed with the funds allocated in the new fiscal year AJK budget.
