Midnight Rain Alert: NDMA Warns Of Flood Risk In Northern, Central Regions

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 22nd Jul, 2025) The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has issued a flash flood and urban inundation warning for Islamabad, Chakwal, Muzaffarabad, and several areas of North and Central Punjab, citing heavy rainfall expected around midnight in the early hours of Wednesday.

NDMA, in its alert, urged residents especially in low-lying and flood-prone areas to stay vigilant, avoid flooded roads and underpasses, ensure proper drainage, and refrain from dumping trash into drains.

NDMA has advised vulnerable residents to secure electrical appliances, avoid contact with electricity poles and unsafe structures, and follow local administration instructions in case of emergency.
