
Chairman CDA Vows Zero Tolerance Against Illegal Housing Schemes

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 22nd Jul, 2025) Chairman Capital Development Authority (CDA) Muhammad Ali Randhawa, on Tuesday chaired a meeting to review progress on actions taken against unauthorized construction and illegal housing activities in the capital.
The meeting, attended by senior officials of the CDA, Islamabad Administration, and DMA, assessed the actions taken so far against illegal housing societies, cooperative societies, and encroachments in Islamabad.
Briefing the Chairman, officials revealed that CDA is actively pursuing legal action against illegal developers, including cancellation of layout plans and NOCs, sealing of unauthorized society offices, and regular publication of verified information on the CDA website.
Chairman Muhammad Ali Randhawa emphasized that safeguarding public interest remains a top institutional priority.
He declared, “Illegal housing schemes will not be tolerated under any circumstances.”
He instructed CDA to continue proactive measures and warned developers, promoters, and suppliers to steer clear of any involvement in unauthorized housing projects.
He also urged citizens to verify housing society credentials through CDA's Planning Wing or the official website before investing. “It is our duty to protect citizens from fraudulent schemes,” the Chairman stated, reaffirming CDA’s commitment to transparent and lawful urban development.
