Indonesian Delegation, Led By Consul General, Visits MH Panhwar Farms

HYDERABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 22nd Jul, 2025) A high-level delegation led by the Consul General of Indonesia in Karachi visited the renowned MH Panhwar Farms near Tando Jam. During the visit, the delegation expressed keen interest in agricultural development, the cultivation of fruit orchards and the exchange of knowledge and research between the two countries.

Led by Dewanto Priyokousumo, the Consul General, the delegation included Arie Poluzzi, Consul for Information and Socio-Cultural Affairs, Heriyanto, Treasurer, Urip Widodo, Administrative Staff, Ali Nur Ahmad and Ramsha Hussain.

According to a press release, the visiting delegation was warmly received by the Co-Chairman of M.H. Panhwar Farms Ghulam Serwer Panhwar. The visitors were briefed on the farm's innovative practices in fruit farming, particularly the cultivation of mangoes, lychee, figs (injeer), jackfruit and grapes.

The Indonesian diplomats showed special interest in exploring tropical fruit varieties and sustainable farming techniques practiced at the farm.

They also discussed potential avenues for cooperation and coordination between Indonesian and Pakistani farmers, emphasizing the exchange of technical expertise, advanced agricultural techniques and academic collaboration. The delegation expressed interest in engaging with Sindh Agriculture University and the Government of Sindh to facilitate bilateral agricultural research and capacity-building programs.

Both sides agreed on the importance of fostering long-term partnerships to enhance food security, climate-smart agriculture and rural development in both countries.
