PTI Confrontational Approach Undermine Democracy: Tariq Fazal

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 22nd Jul, 2025) Federal Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Dr. Tariq Fazal Chaudhry Tuesday said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) confrontational and non-political approach has led to its political isolation.

Talking to a private news channel, he criticized the leadership of PTI for what he described as a pattern of inappropriate conduct toward state institutions.

He further said that accountability should be upheld in all matters, including those related to the May 9 incidents. “Everyone involved in any unlawful act must be brought to justice,” he added.

Answering a question, he said that ongoing monsoon rains have exceeded expectations, creating difficult conditions across many parts of the country.

The minister added that the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), local administrations, and provincial governments were working in close coordination to ensure timely relief and mitigate risks.

“Relief activities are already underway, and necessary preparations are being made to handle any potential emergencies,” he said.
