LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Oct, 2025) Experts on Thursday said that Lahore's atmosphere has turned toxic once again, while air quality is touching dangerous levels.
Provincial Metropolis has been declared the second most polluted city in the country in terms of air pollution.
According to the details, the city's air quality index reached 270, while breathing has become difficult, citizens were instructed to take precautions.
The pollution rate was recorded at 503 in Allama Iqbal Town, 431 on Ravi Road, 361 on Barki Road, 359 on Shalimar, while the air pollution rate was recorded at 338 on Syed Muratab Ali Road.
In view of the fear of children and the elderly being affected by toxic particles in the air, experts have instructed citizens to wear masks and avoid unnecessary travel.
On the other hand, the current temperature of the city was recorded at 24 degrees Celsius, the maximum temperature is likely to go up to 32 degrees.
Meanwhile, according to the Meteorological Department, the humidity ratio in the air was recorded at 65 percent, winds are continuing to blow at a speed of 3 kilometers per hour in the city, there is no possibility of rain in the city in the next 24 hours.
