CM’s Aide Inaugurates Digital Skill Initiative For Youth

PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 18th Jul, 2025) Special Assistant to Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Science and Information Technology, Dr. Shafqat Ayaz formally inaugurated the KP Information Technology board (KPITB) flagship initiative titled “Employable Digital Skills Initiative for Youth of KP here on Friday.

Addressing the inauguration ceremony at KPITB office in Hayatabad, he said that digital transformation and skills initiatives have become a vital need of the hour for youth empowerment and self-reliance. The ceremony was attended by IT experts, teachers, youth, civil society members, and media personnel in large numbers.

He emphasized that the KP government is taking practical steps to create better employment opportunities for the youth adding that the initiative would give individuals access to global digital market and secure opportunities in freelancing and online jobs.

CM aide said that youth of KP possess immense potential and it is the government’s responsibility to harness and showcase this potential by offering them global opportunities.

He added that KPITB in collaboration with the Department of Science and Technology would launch more such inclusive programs to benefit not just the youth but also women, persons with disabilities, and students from rural areas.
