Sargodha, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 21st Jul, 2025) Commissioner Jahanzeb Awan on Monday presided over a meeting to review key development and administrative matters in the division.

The meeting was attended by Deputy Commissioner Sargodha, Captain (R) Muhammad Waseem, Deputy Director Technical Rana Shahid Imran and other senior officials.

According to the Commissioner's spokesperson here, the meeting was informed that the Ab Pak Authority has started restoring 84 water filtration plants in the first phase, with plans to restore 264 plants across the four districts.

The meeting was also informed that the Para-Force will be functional at the divisional headquarters after August 14, and in other districts by the last week of September.

The commissioner directed deputy commissioners to provide full cooperation to the force.

The division will receive 72 electric buses next month, with 48 buses allocated to Sargodha, 12 to Khushab, and 6 each to Mianwali and Bhakkar. The commissioner emphasized strict implementation of fixed prices for sugar and close monitoring of chicken prices.

The commissioner directed timely completion of safety measures, considering the potential flood threat in the coming days. The meeting reviewed progress on ongoing development projects, emphasizing effective implementation of public welfare initiatives. The commissioner stressed the importance of inter-departmental coordination to ensure timely completion of projects.
