Crackdown conducted against unhealthy food mafia

CHINIOT, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 20th Jul, 2025) In an action against unhealthy food mafia in the city on Sunday, the Punjab Food Authority's food safety teams conducted crackdown on the orders of DG Food Authority.

During the operation, a total of 76 food businesses were checked and fines of Rs 80,000 were imposed.

The food safety teams sealed several meat shops for continuous violation of the Act. During the inspection, very poor sanitation arrangements and the absence of medical certificates of workers were found. The Authority also destroyed 5 kg of unhealthy meat.
