
CTP Issues 1,074 Challan Tickets For Traffic Rule Violations

RAWALPINDI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 18th Jul, 2025) The City Traffic Police Rawalpindi have issued 1,074 challan tickets for traffic rule violations in one day.
During the ongoing special campaign traffic rule violators, fines were also imposed on the law-breakers on Thursday, a CTP spokesman said on Friday.
Giving the break-up, he said 255 citizens were given challan tickets for driving motorcycles without helmets and 139 others for not having driving licenses.
Similarly, he said, 72 vehicles owners were issued challans for non-standard number plates, and 69 for one-way traffic and 462 for lane and line violations.
Twenty-seven commercial vehicles were challaned for not having route permits, he added.
The spokesperson said that 314 new driving licenses were also issued on Thursday.
