
DC Jhelum Visits Flood-affected Areas

JHELUM, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 22nd Jul, 2025) Deputy Commissioner (DC) Jhelum, Meesam Abbas visited the flood-affected Darapur area on Tuesday to assess the damage and oversee relief efforts.
According to DC office, the local administration briefed him on the destruction of communication facilities caused by the flood.
The DC announced that a mechanical bridge is being installed to restore connectivity between two tehsils.
The work is progressing rapidly and is expected to be completed within two days, allowing citizens to resume their daily activities.
He directed officials to work day and night to complete the bridge construction as soon as possible, ensuring the movement of citizens.
The Punjab government's emergency measures aim to mitigate the damage caused by the flood and provide relief to affected communities.
