PESCO chief for adopting safety measures during work

PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th Dec, 2016 ) : Peshawar Electric Supply Company (PESCO) Chief Executive on Monday directed the Technical Staff to adopt all precautionary measures during work to avoid electrocution and electric shocks.

He directed them to ensure the safety measures in letter and spirit and do not start work without PTW (Permit to work) and ensure that power supply is shutdown and poles on both the sides must be properly earthen for the safety of technical staff working on line/pole He further advised them not to stand on Transformer or any other electrical instrument while working and remain careful from the streetlights and neutral cables, fasten safety belt while working on line.

The PESCO chief also asked the staff to adopt all precautionary measures, adding that the safety day must be celebrated regularly so that employees are educated about their safety. Meanwhile, PESCO notifies power suspension due to unavoidable maintenance work on 132 KV Hayatabad Grid Station on December 20, 21, 22 from 9 AM to 5 PM causing inconvenience for consumers of 11 KV Hayatabad 9, 10 feeders.

The power supply would also remain suspended from 132 KV Hayatabad Grid Station on December 21 from 9 AM to 2 PM, resultantly consumers of 11 KV Hayatabad-8,11, Khyber -1,Hayatabad Surgical Hospital, Shaukat Khanam Hospital feeders would face inconvenience.

The PESCO further notified that additional temporary loadshedding would be observed in Peshawar, Mardan and Abbottabad Circles, adding that power supply would remain suspended from 132 KV Burhan on December 21,24,25 from 8 AM to 5 PM, resultantly additional loadshedding would be carried out in Abbotabad and Mardan Circles during this period.

The power supply would remain suspended from 132 KV Peshawar City Grid Station on December 20,21,22 from 9 AM to 5 PM, resultantly additional load shedding will be carried out at 132 KV Peshawar City and 132 KV ShahiBagh Grid Stations.
