
PM Shehbaz Expresses Solidarity With China Over Rain, Landslide Tragedy

Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Tuesday extended heartfelt condolences and solidarity with the people of China following the tragic loss of lives and large-scale displacement caused by recent torrential rains and landslides in the country
ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 29th Jul, 2025) Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Tuesday extended heartfelt condolences and solidarity with the people of China following the tragic loss of lives and large-scale displacement caused by recent torrential rains and landslides in the country.
In a message shared on his official X account, the Prime Minister said: “We are deeply saddened by the tragic loss of lives and displacement caused by the recent torrential rains and landslides in China. On behalf of the people of Pakistan as well as on my own behalf, I extend our heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and all those affected.”
Acknowledging the shared experience of climate-related disasters, the Prime Minister highlighted the empathy of the Pakistani nation, noting that: “Having recently faced similar challenges in various parts of Pakistan, we fully understand and empathize with the hardship that our Chinese brothers and sisters are enduring.
”
Commending the resilience of the Chinese people, Shehbaz Sharif expressed full confidence in their strength and leadership.
“We are confident that the resilience and unity of the Chinese people, under the resolute leadership of President Xi Jinping, will see them through this difficult time,” PM Shehbaz Sharif said.
Reaffirming Pakistan’s unwavering support, the prime minister concluded with a message of unity: “The people of Pakistan stand in solidarity with the people of China in this challenging time, bound together through thick and thin, in the spirit of iron clad brotherhood.”
