POA To Hold Sports Events To Celebrate Independence Day

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 28th july, 2016) - Punjab Olympic Association will hold a number of sports events next month to mark the independence day celebrations. "We have given special direction to our district and divisional bodies to organise sports event in various disciplines to celebrate the independence day in a befitting manner, " said Secretary, POA, Idrees Haider Khawaja here on Thursday.
Following is the programme of the events at Lahore, Athletics, Basketball, Boxing, Bodybuilding, Baseball match, Cycling Road Race, and Canoeing competition, Gymnastics, judo competition, Ju Jitsu, Kabaddi, Karate, Kick Boxing, Muay Thai, Rowing, Rugby, Swimming, Table Tennis, Taekwondo, Tennis, Tug of War, Volleyball, Weightlifting, Wrestling, wushu competitions will be held at different venues. Associations will also be organizing different events at Gujranwala, Multan and Faisalabad.
