President approves PIA Conversion Ordinance 2026

ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 4th May, 2026) President Asif Ali Zardari has approved the PIA Corporation (Conversion) (Repeal) Ordinance, 2026 on the advice of the Prime Minister.

The ordinance is related to fulfilling the legal requirements for completing the process of transfer of some assets of PIA.

These include the PIA Planetarium in Karachi, land in Gulshan-e-Iqbal, PIA Planetarium in Lahore, land in Old University Ground, PIA Planetarium on land located in Hayatabad Phase II in Peshawar, football ground located in KDA Scheme I in Karachi, office in Dayal Singh Mansion located on Empress Road in Lahore and land of Jahangir Khan sports Complex located on Kashmir Road in Karachi.
