RAWALPINDI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Oct, 2025) Punjab Governor Sardar Saleem Haider Khan on Thursday said that education was the foundation of progress, prosperity and social stability, emphasising that the potential of the young generation - the country’s most valuable asset - must be cultivated through modern educational facilities.
He expressed these views while addressing the prize distribution ceremony of Intermediate ICS-2025 annual examinations at Kasperior College, Pindigheb, Attock.
During the ceremony, the Punjab governor awarded a cheque of Rs 200,000 and an honorary shield to an outstanding student, Muhammad Rubas, who clinched first position in the Rawalpindi board by securing 1,097 marks out of 1,200, bringing pride to the Attock District.
The Governor lauded the student’s remarkable achievement despite limited means, terming it truly praiseworthy. “The talented students of Pindigheb have proved through hard work and dedication that the youth of rural areas are in no way behind those from major cities,” he remarked, adding that he felt proud of his soil and its youth.
He also commended the administration of Kasperior College for providing an academic environment and facilities comparable to renowned institutions across Punjab.
Sardar Saleem said that the students of his area were intelligent and hardworking, assuring that he would continue to offer financial assistance to deserving ones. “No student should have to discontinue education due to lack of resources,” he asserted.
He further said that education and health were fundamental human rights to which all citizens were equally entitled. He added that the Pakistan Peoples Party had always given priority to these sectors, and the government remained committed to extending quality educational facilities to remote and underdeveloped areas.
He concluded by congratulating the position-holding students, their teachers and parents, stating that the achievements of the youth were the real pride of the nation.
