
Rawal Dam Spillways Opened As Water Level Reaches 1,750 Feet

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 31st Jul, 2025) The spillways of Rawal Dam were opened at 6:00 AM on Thursday morning after the water level in the reservoir reached the maximum limit of 1,750 feet, according to the Deputy Commissioner’s Office.
A public advisory issued by the DC Office urged citizens to stay away from streams, nullahs, and low-lying areas due to the increased water discharge from the dam.
Emergency response units and relevant departments have been put on alert to manage any potential situation arising from the opening of the spillways, the statement said.
