
Saplings Planted At AC Headquarters Under Ongoing Plantation Drive

DERA ISMAIL KHAN, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 14th Jul, 2025) As part of the ongoing Monsoon Tree Plantation Campaign, the district administration organized a plantation ceremony at the Assistant Commissioner Headquarters Complex, reaffirming its commitment to environmental sustainability.
Led by Assistant Commissioner Syed Muhammad Arsalan, the event was held in collaboration with the Forest Department, said a press release issued here on Monday.
A variety of fruit-bearing and shade-providing saplings, including guava, orange, and kachnar, were planted during the ceremony.
AC Syed Muhammad Arsalan initiated the drive by planting a guava tree.
Recently appointed under-training assistant commissioners also participated, planting fruit trees and pledging to promote eco-friendly living practices.
Speaking on this occasion, AC Arsalan emphasized the critical need to address deforestation, citing its contribution to global warming and climate change.
He stressed that forestation is essential to restoring ecological balance and urged upon the citizens to actively take part in plantation efforts to ensure a greener, healthier environment for future generations.
Under the leadership of Deputy Commissioner Abdul Nasir Khan, the district administration is taking robust steps to promote environmental protection and afforestation, ensuring the active participation of government departments and the community in this vital campaign.
