Tank Police Committed To Peace, Drug-free Society: DPO

TANK, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 31st Jul, 2025) District Police Officer (DPO) Tank, Shabbir Hussain Shah has expressed his resolve to ensure lasting peace and eliminate drug trafficking in the district.

He said that special operations were being conducted against drug dealers and addicts, and in this regard police patrolling has been intensified in various areas.

He expressed these views during a meeting with a delegation of Tank Press Club at his office. The delegation was led by Press Club President Rafiq Ahmed Kundi and included Senior Vice President Kifayatullah Pracha, General Secretary Sheikh Rehmatullah, Joint Secretary Tanveer Shah Kundi, Syed Badshah Kundi, Noor Zaman Sabir, Jawad-ul-Hassan, Dilsouz Kundi, Eid Gul Bettani, Siddique Ahmed Kundi, Zafran Khan, Noor Muhammad Burki, Shafiq Ahmed Kundi, and others.

The DPO said he was thoroughly analyzing the district's security and social conditions and added strict action would be taken against criminals and drug peddlers.

DPO Shah also expressed concern over the negative impact of irresponsible social media use, saying that while it contributes to social disruption, responsible reporting by print and electronic media plays a vital role in national and regional development.

During the meeting, journalists highlighted several issues relating to law and order and other illegal activities in Tank.

The DPO listened and said people would soon witness a noticeable improvement in the overall law and order situation and a visible decline in criminal activities across the district.
