
Third Pipeline Attack In A Month Hits Gas Supply To Punjab

LAKKI MARWAT, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Jul, 2025) Unknown assailants on Wednesday blew up the main gas pipeline from the Bettani Oil Field to Punjab in the Wanda Amir area here police reported.
The incident occurred within the jurisdiction of the Saddar police station, resulting in a disruption of gas supply to parts of Punjab.
According to authorities, security forces swiftly arrived at the scene, cordoned off the area, and launched an investigation.
This marks the third attack on the gas pipeline within a month, raising serious concerns about energy security and law enforcement effectiveness in the region.
The local administration has stated that an assessment of the damages is underway, and repair work will begin shortly.
Security around critical infrastructure is also being reinforced to prevent further incidents.
