ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Jul, 2025) Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police have suspended two constables and directed them to report to Rescue 15 after being found in violation of the department’s social media usage policy.
An official told APP on Wednesday that Constable Aftab Ahmed from the Dolphin Squad and Constable Ehtesham Aslam from Rescue 15 were involved in posting inappropriate content on social media platforms while in police uniform, which is strictly against the official code of conduct.
He said the content shared by the officers went viral online, prompting immediate disciplinary action from Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Islamabad Police, Jawad Tariq.
He said DIG Tariq took serious notice of the matter, emphasizing that Islamabad Police is a professional and disciplined force, and any actions that undermine its integrity and public trust will not be tolerated.
He said both officers were suspended from service and officially closed to the 15 Office as part of departmental proceedings.
He said a formal inquiry has been launched, and further action will be taken based on the findings of the investigation.
He added that all personnel have been reminded to strictly adhere to departmental policies, particularly regarding the responsible use of social media, and to avoid any conduct that could damage the image of the police force.
