
VC IUB Stresses Technology-driven, Outcome-based Education For Quality Learning

BAHAWALPUR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Oct, 2025) Vice Chancellor of The Islamia University of Bahawalpur (IUB) Engr. Prof. Dr. Muhammad Kamran has stressed that modern education systems worldwide are achieving sustainable results by integrating technology, innovation, and effective teaching methods.
He expressed these views while addressing a training workshop organised by the Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC) for faculty members of the Bahawalnagar Campus and teachers from affiliated colleges.
Highlighting the importance of Outcome-Based Education (OBE), the Vice Chancellor said that effective and systematic teaching is essential to ensure quality learning outcomes. He reaffirmed his commitment to bringing the teaching standards of IUB campuses and affiliated colleges to a world-class level, adding that special training workshops have been launched at the Bahawalpur, Rahim Yar Khan, and Bahawalnagar campuses to achieve this goal.
The Director of the Quality Enhancement Cell, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Asadullah Madni, stated that these workshops aim to implement and standardize quality benchmarks across all IUB campuses and affiliated institutions, in line with the Vice Chancellor’s vision.
He added that after completing this workshop, QEC representatives will train additional faculty members as trainers to sustain the initiative regularly.
The Campus Director, Prof. Dr. Rafaqat Ali, expressed gratitude to the Vice Chancellor for his leadership and for organizing the QEC workshop at the Bahawalnagar Campus. He also thanked the Registrar, Muhammad Shaji-ur-Rehman, and the Affiliation Committee for their cooperation. Teachers from affiliated colleges appreciated the university’s efforts to enhance modern teaching competencies, calling the initiative a significant step toward improving the quality of higher education.
The Member of the Provincial Assembly and University Syndicate Member, Sohail Khan Zahid, also met the Vice Chancellor and commended the university’s initiatives for academic excellence. On this occasion, the Vice Chancellor inaugurated the Zoology Department’s laboratory and visited classrooms of urdu, Botany, Zoology, Computer Science, Physics, and Management Sciences, where he praised the dedication and discipline of the students.
