COLOMBO: (UrduPoint/UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News-Oct 18th, 2025) Rain disrupted play in the 19th match of the ICC Women’s World Cup between Pakistan and New Zealand, leading to a reduction in the number of overs for the fixture.
The match, being played at Colombo, witnessed New Zealand win the toss and elect to field first. Pakistan began steadily, reaching 52 runs for the loss of 3 wickets in 12.2 overs before rain forced a halt to proceedings.
After a delay and pitch inspection, the on-field umpires decided to resume the game with a revised format, reducing it to a 46-over contest for each side.
