Ambassador Urges More Trade Between Pakistan, Iran

SIALKOT, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 22nd Dec, 2016 ) : Pakistan's Ambassador in Iran Asif Khan Durrani has urged the Sialkot exporters to focus on untapped Iran market and explore the trade potential between Pakistan and Iran.

He stated this while addressing a meeting of the Sialkot-based leading exporters, held at Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) here Thursday. SCCI President Majid Raza Bhutta, SVP Adnan Arshad Sethi, R & D officer Miss Atqa Arshad and the members of SCCI Executive Committee were also present on this occasion.

The Pakistani ambassador said that Sialkot exporters had great potential to capture the international trade markets of Iran by exporting their best quality traditional and non-traditional products to the neighbouring country.

He also invited the Sialkot exporters to participate in the 'Aalishan Pakistan International Trade Exhibition', scheduled to be held in Tehran in March 2017. SCCI President Majid Raza Bhutta gave a briefing to the visiting ambassador about the socio-economic and human development of Sialkot on self-help basis by the Sialkot exporters.
