
Pak, Vietnam PTA Within 2025, For Sustainable Trade Growth

Hanoi, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 11th Jul, 2025) The 5th Meeting of the Pakistan–Vietnam Joint Trade Committee (JTC) on Friday decided Pakistan and Vietnam Preferential Trade Agreement (PTA) within 2025 and emphasized enhancing institutional and business linkages for sustained trade growth.
The 5th Meeting of the Pakistan–Vietnam Joint Trade Committee (JTC) was convened today in Hanoi, reactivating this institutional forum after a hiatus of eight years,said a release issued here.
The session was co-chaired by Nasir Hamid, Additional Secretary of Commerce, Pakistan, and Ms. Phan Thi Thang, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade, Vietnam.
The signing ceremony of the Agreed Minutes was solemnly witnessed by Commerce Minister Jam Kamal Khan and Nguyen Hong Dien, Minister of Industry and Trade of Vietnam.
The Committee reviewed the current state of bilateral trade and outlined future cooperation in key areas including trade facilitation, market access, textile and fisheries, Halal certification, civil aviation, healthcare, and banking channels.
The meeting concluded with a reaffirmed commitment to unlocking the untapped trade potential between the two countries.
The 6th Session of the JTC will be held in Pakistan at a mutually convenient time.
