The Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) in its 72nd meeting of current fiscal year, here Tuesday, approved 11 development schemes at the estimated cost of Rs 22 billion

LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 5th May, 2026) The Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) in its 72nd meeting of current fiscal year, here Tuesday, approved 11 development schemes at the estimated cost of Rs 22 billion.

Presided over by P&D (Planning and Development) Board Chairman Dr Naeem Rauf, the forum approved the following schemes:

Rehabilitation/ Improvement of metalled Road from Pakpattan to Marlay Chowk via Purana Thana,Length=41.25 Km, District Pakpattan. (Revised). Cost Rs. 2,334 million

Construction of Building of Cancer Centre at Nishtar Hospital, Multan Revised) Cost Rs.1,018 million

Establishment of Fatima Jinnah Institute of Dental Sciences, Jubilee Town, Lahore (Revised) Cost Rs.4,469 million

Provision of 02 MRI Machines in Tertiary Care Hospitals in Punjab (Aziz Bhatti Shaheed Teaching Hospital, Gujrat & Mayo Hospital, Lahore) Cost Rs.1069 Million

Purchase of 02 Cardiac MRI Machines for FIC Faisalabad and CPEIC Multan.

Cost Rs.1138 million

Up-gradation of Pathology Department at Children Hospital, Lahore. Cost 1277 million

Construction of Monument and Museum at National Bank Park .Cost Rs. 4,245 million

Re-construction of Old P&D Building, Lahore (Revised) Cost Rs.6,471 million

Establishment of Enforcement Stations of PERA in Punjab (New Construction / Rehabilitation of existing government buildings) Position Paper for change of executing agency for Solarization component approved

CM's Parwaaz Card for International Placement (Revised) Position paper approved

Establishment of Climate Finance Unit, Punjab (CFU) Position paper approved for HR & vehicles

The meeting was attended by P&D Board Secretary Rafaqat Ali, Chief Economist, the board members and officers of relevant departments.
