
13 Killed, 1,426 Injured In Punjab Road Accidents

Thirteen people were killed and 1,426 others injured in 1,227 road accidents in Punjab during the last 24 hours, according to a report, issued by the Punjab Emergency Service (PES), commonly known as Rescue-1122, here on Friday
LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 18th Jul, 2025) Thirteen people were killed and 1,426 others injured in 1,227 road accidents in Punjab during the last 24 hours, according to a report, issued by the Punjab Emergency Service (PES), commonly known as Rescue-1122, here on Friday.
As many as 600 people with serious injuries were shifted to different hospitals, while 826 with minor injuries were treated at the incident site by the rescue medical teams.
The data analysis showed that 794 drivers, 49 underage drivers, 132 pedestrians and 513 passengers were among the victims of road crashes.
The statistics showed that 255 accidents were reported in Lahore, which affected 317 people, placing the provincial capital at top of the list, followed by Gujranwala with 86 accidents and 88 victims, and at third Faisalabad with 84 accidents and 102 victims.
According to the data, 1,180 motorbikes, 63 auto-rickshaws, 115 motorcars, 13 vans, 16 passenger buses, 24 trucks and 120 other types of vehicles and slow-moving carts were involved in the road accidents.
