
Afghan Ambassador Visits Charsadda To Condole Martyrdom Of Maulana Idris

PESHAWAR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 7th May, 2026) The Afghan Ambassador on Thursday visited Charsadda to offer condolences to the family of Maulana Idris following his martyrdom.
Several religious and political leaders were also present on the occasion.
Ambassador of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, Sardar Ahmad Shakeeb, accompanied by consular members, arrived in Tangi Tarangzai where he met the son of Maulana Idris and leadership of JUI and expressed sympathy over the martyrdom of Maulana Muhammad Idris.
Speaking on the occasion, he said the martyrdom of religious scholars is a great tragedy for the entire Muslim Ummah. He strongly condemned the incident and termed such cowardly acts as conspiracies by the enemies of islam.
Sardar Ahmad Shakeeb said the Afghan government strongly condemns deadly attack on Maulana Muhammad Idris Shaheed, adding that the sacrifices of martyred scholars serve as a guiding light for the Muslim Ummah. He said such incidents cannot weaken the resolve or morale of religious forces.
The Afghan government also expressed condolences and solidarity with the bereaved family, Akora Khattak and the JUI leadership, he said.
A large number of religious and political personalities attended the condolence gathering and paid tribute to the religious and social services of Maulana Muhammad Idris Shaheed.
