Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has strongly condemned the tragic killing of a young woman in the name of honour in Balochistan, terming it an affront to the conscience of humanity
LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 21st Jul, 2025) Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has strongly condemned the tragic killing of a young woman in the name of honour in Balochistan, terming it an affront to the conscience of humanity.
In her message posted on the social networking platform ‘X’, the CM, “The occurrence of such a heartrending incident in Balochistan has shattered every sensitive heart. Such an atrocious act is unpardonable by any stretch of the imagination.”
She said that no custom, tradition, or ideology that supersedes the writ of the state or violates the rule of law is acceptable in a civilized society.
Calling for swift justice, Maryam Nawaz demanded that the perpetrators be apprehended without delay and awarded strict punishment in accordance with the law.
