ADC-I chairs meeting to expedite registration of Benazir Hari Card

HYDERABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 21st Jul, 2025) Additional Deputy Commissioner-I (ADC-I) Shaheed Benazirabad, Hassan Zafar, chaired a meeting to expedite the registration process of Benazir Hari Card. The meeting was attended by officers from the Agriculture Department.

During the session, ADC-I directed officials to swiftly resolve any issues hampering the registration process so that maximum relief could be provided to farmers across the district.

He emphasized the importance of coordination between the Agriculture Department and the Revenue Department, particularly in verifying land ownership records required for the issuance of the Benazir Hari Card. He advised farmers to get their land records verified by the relevant Revenue Office before submitting their applications to the Agriculture Department for the issuance of the Hari Card.

Briefing the meeting, Agriculture Department officials informed that so far, 11,835 farmers have been registered in the district. Officials said that after thorough scrutiny, over 8,000 forms have been forwarded to Sindh Bank for card issuance. They said that the remaining applications are undergoing verification and will be sent to the bank upon completion.

Those present at the meeting included Additional Director Agriculture Abid Ali, Raheb Ali, Asad Ali Memon and other officials.
