
CM Takes Notice Of Fatalities Caused By Torrential Rains, Electrocution

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Jul, 2025) Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has expressed deep sorrow and concern over the tragic loss of lives resulting from roof and wall collapses, as well as incidents of electrocution during the ongoing spell of torrential rains across the province.
Taking prompt notice of the situation, the CM directed the administration and departments concerned to submit a detailed report and ensure the immediate evacuation of residents from structurally vulnerable and dilapidated buildings. She further instructed authorities to remove exposed and hanging electrical wires across the province without delay to prevent further casualties.
CM Maryam Nawaz Sharif extended her heartfelt condolences to the families of those who lost their lives in these unfortunate incidents. She expressed profound grief over the repeated tragedies caused by collapsing structures and stressed the importance of proactive safety measures.
The CM urged citizens to avoid contact with electric poles, hanging wires, and all electrical installations during the rains. She also strongly advised residents living in unsafe or rundown buildings to relocate during the rainy season to avoid potential risks.
